Yin (feminine, dark, passive force) and Yang (masculine, bright, active force) are descriptions of complementary opposites rather than absolutes.
The dots in each serve as a reminder that there are always traces of one in the other.
This clock is 2 tiered. The back square is solid pine stained in a deep redish brown and has a high gloss finish. There is a spacer that lifts the yin yang circle off the pine back that gives the clock more dimension.
The smaller circle stones are black onyx and sea opal.
